Logo proposal for my lovely home village, Kierinki, in Finnish Lapland.
The logo icon consists of four houses and four hut structures. Together, they form a ring of the community. The logo is emphasizing in particular the history of the forest Sami and the Finnish settlers establishing the village, even though one can find variety of other references to cultural history.
Text type (Kierinki) consists of lines and is hand-crafted. The unfinished, incomplete touch underlines craft and the simplicity of living with the nature.
